01
Context
The problem
Locanit is a logistics and operations platform meant to increase visibility, reduce manual work and streamline daily processes. It brings fleet tracking, task coordination and workflow automation into one system.
What was broken
The previous solution was an expensive external tool that was hard to use and included features the team could not fully access.

Approach
How I got there
01
Field research and talks with the stakeholders to understand the real work, desk research on similar products and best practices, and business meetings to agree on the problem and find the solution. I did the full product-design scope: research, solution finding and design.
02
Ran an Event Storming workshop where all team members contributed ideas.
03
Consolidated, researched and validated those ideas.
04
Benchmarked several international logistics platforms.
05
Created early sketches and wireframes, then redesigned the platform with a user-centered approach.
06
Analyzed real user behavior after launch using Microsoft Clarity.
03
Thinking
Key decisions
I decided to
Build the platform in-house
Because
The external tool cost nearly USD 40,000 per year, was hard to use and restricted features the team needed.

Impact
Results
- Replaced an external tool that cost nearly USD 40,000 per year.
- Gave the organization full ownership of the system, including features the old tool had restricted.
- Improved task completion speed and accuracy with simpler navigation and fewer steps.
- Reduced onboarding time: new employees can start with almost no training.
- Clarity data showed better navigation, less friction and higher task completion rates.
- The platform now serves multiple external clients, is a scalable revenue-generating product and is published on the Bazaar marketplace.
Why so few screens? Most of this work is under NDA, so I can only share a small part of it. I am happy to walk through the rest in a conversation.
