01
Context
The problem
Workmate is a smart workforce management tool designed to simplify attendance, leave requests and daily operations in one place. It is published on the Bazaar marketplace.
What was broken
Every attendance or HR request had to go through the HRMS website, a slow, multi-step process that created friction and frequent delays. After the CEO highlighted this bottleneck, the workflow was redesigned from the ground up together with the Product Owner.

Approach
How I got there
01
Field research and talks with the stakeholders to understand the real work, desk research on similar products and best practices, and business meetings to agree on the problem and find the solution. I did the full product-design scope: research, solution finding and design.
02
User interviews and competitive analysis.
03
Sketching, wireframing and mapping of critical flows to find pain points and opportunities.
04
An internal survey, analyzed with Power BI, to validate the new mobile-first approach.
03
Thinking
Key decisions
I decided to
Go mobile-first instead of the HRMS website
Because
Every attendance or HR request went through a slow, multi-step web process full of friction and delays.

Impact
Results
- Submission time dropped from minutes to seconds.
- Task completion efficiency increased by more than 70%, measured from real usage data.
- User errors and incomplete submissions decreased sharply.
- Users consistently described the app as much faster and far easier to use.
Why so few screens? Most of this work is under NDA, so I can only share a small part of it. I am happy to walk through the rest in a conversation.
